Blue Dragon is another highly anticipated Xbox 360 title. Not quite exaggerated, but more because the men behind the game Uematsu, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Akira Toriyama and Nobuo. Sakaguchi is, of course, the famous set of infinity Final Fantasy, Akira Toriyama designer famous character from the Dragon Quest and Dragon Ball Nobuo Uematsu is the composer for the Final Fantasy games and contribute to various other games. The man is from that Dream Team “is missing, Yuji Horii, the producer of Dragon Quest. The last time these men have come together, we got what is probably one of the greatest RPGs of all time: Chrono Trigger. Then, of course, with a game like Chrono Trigger under his belt, and the Final Fantasy series, Blue Dragon’s expectations are high. Have they should live? If your expectations, do they, but lower most of this game is more an introduction for those unfamiliar with Japanese RPG.
You play as Shu, and the game begins, you fight a shark, a monster to terrorize the village was tAlt. Kluke Shu and his friends Jiro and have a plan, to get rid of the shark, pull into a trap. Not everything works perfectly as planned, however, and before he knows Shu wakes up in the ruins, together with his friends. This is your journey begins at the end.
< , br /> The reason it seems that Blue Dragon is an introduction to Japanese RPGs is simple: Everything is simple and basic, and there is really nothing to “deep” here. If I simple and basic, I exaggerate not say. The story is pretty simple. Above all, because you do not ‘think that anywhere. The characters do not help, and not writing. But sometimes the simplicity is the key. Due to the nature of the game is simple, the learning curve is so steep here. And while the story and characters are nothing special, the gameplay elements.
Akira Toriyama work here is clear. The characters seem to have drawn directly from Dragon Ball, the monsters look like they just moved from the Dragon Quest. The characters are natural children, and plenty of game is rather “cute”, but the game is very nice research. The cinematics are great, and some of the speech is very good (if sometimes annoying).
Gameplay wise, Blue Dragon is like most of your traditional fantasy games. There are no random battles, but enemies on the battlefield you have to contact them. This means fighting, is widely released. Of course there are moments when the monsters are in your path, and you have to fight, but for most, there are no random encounters and that is a blessing. The battle is fairly simple. It is as Quest in the fight against the glass NES Final Fantasy series and Dragon. It is quite the turn by turn. This means that there is little time for the strategy and the game it promotes. You know, when you attack your enemies and you can plan accordingly. “Blue Dragon adds a little something to his system on the ground when attacking. ‘S Circle of. Outside of combat you can make a circle to engage multiple groups of enemies at once. This deletes areas faster, but the real gem this is it, two enemies who hate each other in battle, and attack they watch each other before they get to attack you. In the long term, it is not really something that you do very much. “Blue Dragon is far from a hard game.
A little problem with the combat system is, however, frame rate issues. Turn-based battles are slow as a rule, as it is, but you will find they are even slower and it is not because you spend time watching all the action, because the frame rate dips, and the game LAG. “Br />
The abilities of the system is quite unique, at least. Select a job, learn the functions of this class, and once you learn skills you can combine what you want them. You can change jobs, if you will. This is a very interesting and makes tons of customization. There was also an excellent means of providing long-term strategy. As some classes have a direct impact on your statistics. For example, a fencing master a big boost to his attack and defense. Mages get a boost in magic. The system is very similar to the employment system Final Fantasy V
Blue Dragon is not a bad game survey, Nobuo Uematsu, but certainly done better . Most of what you are actually in the music fairly well, even if you yourself humming much anytime soon. As I said earlier, is not the bad dubbing, but there are times when it can be quite annoying.
Blue Dragon is not a bad game is just one game does not reach as high as he could. It sticks to the simple and basic. baseline scenario and the basic characters. Surely it is not always a bad thing But in this day and age, can not survive in the RPG game alone. It needs a good story and character development. These two things, not Blue Dragon.
advantages: < br />
+ some visual Nice, Simple + + gameplay elements Battles
strategy to encourage random encounters + n + < br /> System provides employment for many customization options
+ Large kinematics in a voice worthy act
Disadvantages:
-The story is not interesting characters
-n “have nothing special, either
The game is too easy for the veterans of the genre
dips in frame rate are boring in the fighting

My son and I have played this game together and we were really enjoy. It’s almost 9, and yes, they say the word bastard a few times, but he is so the scenario that has not been a problem at all absorbed.
; The game itself was fun (we are not ready yet, now on CD 3). The only problem is that we have against the boss fights, but our values are suddenly not nearly high enough. So now we are only about Putzinger grinding levels. for I have for WoW = P It’s much more fun to follow a scenario grind, especially in this game, I want them to upgrade expected better.
< , br /> Otherwise no complaints.

OK, I’m not a fan of anime. Not even a little. I tried Blue Dragon, only because I jonesing for an RPG, and it was all there was behind Oblivion for the 360th
Well, my surprise, I landed it from this “thing” absorbed.
Since I am limited in time, I will be a concise summary of Pro Con /
FOR:
< br /> Absolutely stellar graphics. It really seems that you sometimes play a Pixar film. Colourful and imaginative, Blue Dragon is a pleasure to look through and can face that matters.
Very simple and intuitive interface. Almost everything you need to be able to inventory, statistics, spells, etc. to access in a logical, clearly is in the menu with the card in another. Very quick and easy. One wonders why, after 10 + years who can not otherwise excellent Resident Evil series to understand everything.
The story is ridiculously predictable, even smaller, but has enough charm and originality of more or less it. Somehow I always wanted to see what would happen, and I’m a cynical SOD;)
tons of content. Lets face it, is around 60 dollars a lot of dough, and I would hesitate to buy one set of tracks. I usually rent, as the replay value is low at least for me. But this thing is so big will keep it, you probably play for a month. At least as long as Oblivion, I can say.
Technically the game looks nearly flawless. I have not experienced any slowdown or chart Gitchi frame rate at all.
soundtrack. The guests and the accompanying music is very good, if not a little inappropriate. It is one of the main theme that sounds almost exactly the same as that of The Godfather II There is also a very cool uptempo track original metal from Deep Purple, Ian Gillan, who plays for the fights against bosses. Cool title, except that I wish they had more than one in the game: / I made a couple of young reviewers noticed the “metal” cheese-head of the music department. I found this pretty hilarious. They play a game that looks like a Care Bears cartoon, what they want, Slayer? The song that is heavy and fast enough to match the action, without misplaced.
Cons: (This is largely subjective)
Frustrating substantive decisions. Although I have not finished the game yet, (I’m on disk 3), it was a game almost entirely innocent and harmless, and I recommend it for every child. The game world is whimsical and charming, without the slightest trace of “adult content” with the addition of the odd occasional use of the word “b * STARD.” Now, hold me, if not obviously funny, but why they hell did this plush, carebear with a large and sudden need to shout that? This is not only funny unintentionly adult (photo lady suddenly turning a Smurf-up their T-shirts without reason) but it keeps me from letting my 9-year-old space a game that would be otherwise. As the game would be less funny if they did not say “b * STARD a couple of times a disc. Only seems like a stupid decision.” Hey! Let’s Limit millions of potential buyers spend a small child $ 60, we can discuss a number of times! You have a nice, cute, games for children, then do it off-limits for much their target audience. Weird. Heureux, they are not my handling of investment funds. Repetiton
. Any long-time fan of Japanese RPGs console is used to fight one is a bit repetitive, so it is not new to you, but no people are used against the Western-style struggle for essentially the same battle 10,000 times can stretch your patience to fight . After 20 hours of playing, I would even run past most monsters only way I have not found in the fight. Although to be fair, they have more depth and fighting strategy than normal, otherwise I would have started much earlier to avoid battles:)
recommended total very much.

I’m not a gamer, but I know a good game when we play, i. The latter is mainly on the average, as far as entertainment goes.
The graphics are good, (there are some problems, sometimes slow, and jumping in some scenes) ranges from good to very good ok (if you are not under 16, you work some voice, to find really boring ) can be, the gameplay is so simple and so a traditional Japanese RPG. The story is nothing special, Same Ol good against evil children terribly wrong, there are hints here and there for good measure. For me the most is from improvements benefit character. everything else was above average.

Blue Dragon brings back many fond memories of classic RPG IVE won over the years. While not revolutionary in any way, takes all the conventions of the RPG Blue Dragon is almost perfect.
It can come from such a game for children, if the characters look childish and cartoon-style animation, but if you look cute dancing animals you hear someone yell “Bastard!” or if you are ridiculously difficult boss. RPGer even the hardcore will find a challenge in some of these patterns.
The music is always appropriate and generally very nice. If you are the composer of the FF IV, you expect less? I must say, though, the theme of the battle Boss feels somewhat irrelevant. cheezemetal wouldnt be so bad overall, no voice, and I know that Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) is capable of much better. the voice of the work was done extremely well when will the main character Shu by the same actor as Izzy put the original cast of Digimon. very recognizable voice. hadnt seen that show, I rent in 5 years, and I knew who he was away. thats kind of useless info but I thought it was cool.
The main thing that attracted me to this game is the employment system. If you Final Fantasy V, you play you feel comfortable with this system of jobs. You select a class (fencing master, black mage, ect) for each character. You can change any classes if they are not in battle, and that you grow in every class you are assigned to the skills and abilities with this class to learn. how your characters grow in height, you can unlock new classes for them, but there are only 9 classes in total, which I, I found a little disappointing, but employment is still my favorite aspect of the game. Character development and try the right mix for each class balance is better in this game, that most other IVE played. ‘S simple but very effective, since most aspects of this game
Graphically, I think this game looks great. The world is full of beautiful and unique environments. Characters and environments of buildings, it’s Akira Toriyama art the whole way. This is one of the games I ever filmed. impressive cinematic quality animation and Pixar have played plenty.
Blue Dragon plays in the style standard turn based, but there are no random encounters. see your enemies in the areas you explore on foot. Contact with them begins the battle. when the battle begins, you have a list of commands (attack, defense, magic, etc.) and select one for each character. I feel much stronger in the strategy, the n Does it matter what other game like it was played IVE. There is a list at the top of the screen shows you the next 40-10 turns. certain skills can be charged to raise to power. The more you reinforce the attack, which turns more, you must wait until it happens. the charge with a mini-game similar to the 3 Click done to Swing Golf. Little things like that add a little more depth in combat. “Br />
the story itself does not break the rules by all means. If you have played RPGs before knowing the Japanese idea. Evil seduced the world / colorful fall boy heroes to stop and set new Meeting friends along the way. It’s just that, as the gameplay, the characters and their stories underlying so well. I find myself really interested in, what fate is reserved for those characters. almost all in this story has a strong
The experience offered by experienced RPG Blue Dragon players not remember exactly what she has in these games first. For those who has played one of the many Japanese RPGs havent in the past 20 years, one of the best places to start.
